Joel O’Connor is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Northshore Redi-Med Psychiatry, serving children, adolescents, and adults across Covington, Mandeville, Slidell, Metairie, Kenner, and Hammond, Louisiana. He treats conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD, substance use disorders, and insomnia.
Joel earned his nurse practitioner degree from Nicholls State University and is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He has over three and a half years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. In addition, he serves as a Captain in the Air Force National Guard, providing trauma rescue services—a background that enriches his care for first responders and veterans.
His approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy, lifestyle adjustments, nutrition, and relationship-focused care. Joel is committed to high-quality, compassionate treatment and works closely with therapists and physicians to provide coordinated care. Mohammad Imran Naeem, MD is a board-trained outpatient psychiatrist licensed in Louisiana who is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. He values human connection, thoughtful listening, and understanding each patient as a whole person—not just a diagnosis—while partnering with individuals toward meaningful, lasting improvement.
Dr. Naeem takes a collaborative and personalized approach, creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable. He is known for his approachable, relatable style and belief that effective psychiatric care is built on trust and open communication.
At Redi-Med Psychiatry, Dr. Naeem provides evidence-based medication management and advanced treatments, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato® (esketamine), when appropriate. His clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Dr. Naeem earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Loyola University New Orleans and his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Matthew’s University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency through Louisiana State University and the LSU-Ochsner Psychiatry Residency Program in New Orleans, with comprehensive training across outpatient and inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, addiction, geriatric, forensic, and dual-diagnosis care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Naeem values balance, family, and wellness. He enjoys fitness, outdoor activities, fishing, and boating, and cherishes time with his family.

Lindsey Kappes is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of healthcare experience. Certified through the ANCC, she provides evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals across the lifespan, treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and mood disorders.
Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. She brings a diverse background, including emergency medicine and inpatient psychiatric care, giving her a strong foundation to provide comprehensive, patient-centered treatment.
Her approach is collaborative, empathetic, and holistic, emphasizing individualized treatment plans, patient engagement, and long-term mental health improvement. Lindsey is committed to helping patients regain stability, rebuild hope, and achieve meaningful, sustainable improvements in their quality of life.
Olivia Esquerre
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Olivia Esquerre is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama.
Olivia brings over six years of critical care nursing experience to her psychiatric practice, including work in neuroscience, surgical, medical, and COVID intensive care units. She also spent more than four years caring for critically ill United States Veterans within the Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare system, where she developed strong clinical judgment and a detail-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care.
She completed extensive clinical training in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, gaining experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Olivia treats a wide range of mental health conditions including ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
Olivia is committed to providing individualized, comprehensive, and evidence-based psychiatric care. Her approach combines thoughtful medication management with an integrative perspective on mental health, incorporating lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management to support overall brain health and emotional well-being.
A Mandeville native and graduate of Lakeshore High School, Olivia is proud to serve the community she calls home. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and being outdoors in the Louisiana sunshine.
